La Mesa Civic Center Feasibility Study and Master Plan

Gruen Associates was part of a multi-disciplinary team preparing a feasibility study for the development of new facilities on the La Mesa Civic Center site. Potential facilities studied included a new 24,000 square foot City Hall, town square, public parking, and another governmental/institutional office building on the existing civic site. Additionally the study investigated the feasibility of a mixed-use/mixed income development on the former police station site section of Allison Avenue. The study identified a wide range of physical development scenarios, phasing concepts, cost estimates, financial feasibility analysis, and potential funding sources for review by City officials.
