Once again, it is Modernism Week – a celebration of Mid-Century modern design! The Bank of America building featured as part of Palm Springs’ Modernism Week was designed by Gruen Associates’ original design partner, Rudi Baumfeld. Rudi was responsible for many of the iconic projects credited to Gruen Associates and its founder Victor Gruen. The current managing partner, Michael A. Enomoto, FAIA worked with Rudi for several years until he passed away in 1988.
