As one of three project teams, each team will give a 30-minute presentation amid a variety of entertainment and programs planned for SANDAG’s Community Fair this weekend, October 9th.
The family-friendly event will be hosted by the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) to inform and engage the public on projects, initiatives, partnerships, and innovative concepts being implemented as part of the 2021 Regional Plan.
Teams responded to SANDAG’s Request for Innovative Concepts (RFIC) and are part of the RFIC Showcase, featuring final concepts focused on innovative approaches, ways the projects advance the San Diego region, and how the concepts align with the vision of the SANDAG 2021 Regional Plan.
The Cordoba Corporation team’s concept is to extend San Diego’s Blue Line trolley from San Ysidro to Tijuana and create a multimodal transit center in each location. Additionally, the plan includes an innovative and integrated clearance process to speed-up the crossing of the border in each direction.
