| The Westside Parkway
will be a new, 14-mile auto parkway on the growing west side of Bakersfield,
California. The selected design alternative is for a Heritage Parkway, including
extensive landscaping and design of bridges and other structures that recalls
the classic public works designs of the early 20th Century. Gruen Associates
is the urban design consultant for the parkway and has developed the overall
aesthetic concept for the parkway including landscape architecture, bridge
architecture, and signage. |
